Finances
Where the township’s money comes from and where it goes, every year since 2009. Figures come from the financial return the township files with the Province each year, built from its audited statements. Every budget, audited statement and capital forecast is kept here, because the township removes older ones from its site.
Property taxes
What the township raised from property taxes
The township’s share of the tax bill, before school taxes, each year since 2009.

Staff pay
Salaries, wages and benefits
Everyone the township employs. Council pay is set separately.
Positions are the township’s own count of funded jobs in its return to the Province, not audited. Volunteer firefighters aren’t counted.
The decisions behind it
Council pay
Each pay-grid by-law amends the pay equity plan, but the township posts it without Schedule A, the grid itself. Council pay by-laws are passed each December.
Grants and funding
Money from other governments
The Province’s Partnership Fund arrives every year. Other provincial and federal grants come for particular projects, so the total swings.

Every grant council applied for or accepted is in Decisions → Grants.

Documents
Every financial document, by year
Checked every day: the township’s financial pages, its media library and every meeting’s documents. Anything new is copied the day it appears. Have one that isn’t here? Add it to the inbox.
Where the numbers come from
The Financial Information Return each municipality files with the Province, built from its audited statements, on the same form every year. Budgets come from the presentations to council. The Province’s open data.
What “spent” leaves out
An accounting charge for the future cost of closing the landfill and other assets ($1.31M in 2025). The audited statements report it; it isn’t money spent that year.
How sure these figures are
Money figures come from statements audited every year (BDO to 2013, KPMG since) and filed with the Province over the treasurer’s signature; they match the audited statements where we hold both. Staff counts are the township’s own, not audited. Each year’s return.
If a number looks wrong
Figures are copied, not calculated by the township for this page. Report it and it will be checked against the source.
